Since Easter falls in the month of March and typically is a week after the first day of Spring, it only seems natural that we would associate pastels, decorated Easter eggs, and flow-y ballerina skirts, or at least that’s what comes to my mind. In the fashion industry florals and bright colors seem to be on trend, but before I delve into the techniques behind this colorful winged-liner Easter Inspired look, say that three times fast, lets look at some of the actual beauty trends fresh out of the Spring Collections of 2016. The house of Dior Cosmetics currently launched their Spring Flowers 2016 Collection featuring glowing products for the eyes, cheeks, and most importantly lips. There is no doubt 2015 had a huge rise in Lip trends and it seems we haven’t seen the last of it yet. Peter Phillips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, inspires us with a luminous makeup collection that brings together new Backstage Pro’s essentials with eyeshadows and lipstick colours inspired by the flower gardens of Granville. Granville? Now I know you are scratching your head about that one. Here is a bit of history. Granville is extremely significant to the house of Dior because it is the small charming town in Normandy where Mr. Christian Dior (1905-1957) himself was born, more than a century ago!

Now, onto the look…I used all shadows from the LORAC mega Pro Palette, Camel and Sepia in the crease lightly blended together. Then I used Opal all over the lid and Cream on the brow bone. Then the star of the show, the bold eyeliner! Using Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetic’s waterproof cream color in Ice Blue and a thin definer brush I created this graphic looking winged eyeliner. Topped the look with mascara and Solow matte liquid lipstick from Colourpop Cosmetics on the Lips. On my face I used Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and the Hourglass dim light power to set the look. Be sure to comment and follow my social media pages for more looks and inspiration. Hope you enjoyed this look!
