Face of the Day: Bold Lips with a Spring Twist

Bold-Lips, whether bright or dark, are a beauty trend that transcends all seasons. More and more brands are focusing on lip products, a trend that burned like wild fire through the beauty industry with the introduction of liquid lipsticks back in early 2015, so anything that will bring focus to your pout will be a must-have in any makeup-lover’s collection. Dior’s new makeup Spring collection, Glowing Gardens, does exactly this with its newest Dior addict lip products and soft shimmering shadows for the eyes and face.

For my Look today I took inspiration from a fellow beauty guru on YouTube, (@thegalsguide) Mariah, pictured below. If you don’t already follow her channel I highly recommend it. In her look she used Champaign-toned shadows, lots of highlighting/strobbing on the face, and dark bold, vampy lips. I took the same look, but incorporate different products and also used pinker undertone shadows and highlighters, with a slightly more reddish under-toned liquid lipstick by Anastasia Beverly Hills.

EYES: All eyeshadows used from LORAC Mega-Pro Palette (Discontinued): “cream" all over eye lid, concentrating the color on the brow bone, then I applied “dusty plum” lightly swept across the eye crease. Finished the look with “blush” dusted all over the lid. Topped the look with Benefit’s their real mascara.
