I have decided to start a Wednesday series on my blog. Every Wednesday I will post a wishlist to a particular shop or store I want you guys to learn more about, what you can expect and should look into if you are interested in sprucing up your wardrobe. The wishlist will be anything from beauty products to clothing, accessories, etc.

This week I will be talking about the makeup capital of the world, Sephora! The beauty blogger’s paradise store. Honestly, if I could I would spend a good chunk of the bank account there, but like most people with moderate incomes I will have to suffice with some essential wishlist goodies I desperately need! The Sephora beauty Insider and VIB sale is quickly approaching for the month of April. The sale happens only twice each year and is exclusive to Beauty Insiders, VIB, and VIB Rouge members. If you are unfamiliar with Sephora’s rewards program I will describe some of the finer details here, but you can always go to Sephora.com for more details. All you have to do to join is go to the website, fill out a profile and you are in! It’s that easy. The next step is to spend money, hehe. The more you spend the higher your status. After spending $500 you will become a VIB and after you spend $1000 you will become VIB Rouge. Now, you are probably thinking that is a lot of money to be spending on makeup, but this is money spent within a year and if you have ever been to Sephora, trust me when I tell you, you will have no trouble spending that amount of money. So why would you want to? Well, the more you spend the more perks you get and you can also redeem your points for great point perks! Check out the website for what point perks are being offered right now!

Now, onto the details of the sale, the Sale for Beauty Insiders will begin April 9th through 12th and will consist of a 10% discount coupon you will automatically receive in your email. So be sure to sign up with a reliable email source. VIB and VIB Rouges will get a 15% coupon in their emails and the sale will begin April 7th and go through April 13th for them.

Now I know how overwhelming this store can be and passing up this sale is not a question, considering regular prices for these high-end goodies, so I wanted to help give you a wishlist guide and tell you some of the items I will be picking up to give you an idea of what you might want to get during the sale. I will go in order of products I would use during a normal makeup routine and highlight things I am going to get, with things I think are worth looking into.

Let’s get started: First thing you definitely want to get or stock up on are face primers and foundations! These are among the most expensive items and some of the more essential in my opinion. If you don’t have a large budget forgo the primer, but definitely look into a foundation.

Foundation:

• Estee Lauder double wear for all my combo/oily ladies/gents

• Dior Skin or Air Flash foundation for all my dry to normal skin ladies/gents.

• Lancôme Tient Idole 24H foundation for any skin type.

Skincare: Skincare items are the second most important must-haves during the sale. You all know skincare can get very expensive, so it is essential to get a great discount.

• My skincare must have is and will always be Origins skincare line. My favorite is the Starting Over Age-Erasing Moisturizer with Mimosa.

Face Primer:

• Hands down the best pace primers belong to Hourglass: the veil mineral primer is the one I will be snagging! It’s my Holy Grail face primer. It helps tame my oily T-zone while keeping dry patches at bay. Other alternative primers are the Smashbox primers if you want a different feel.

Concealer:

• I am in desperate need of concealer so I will be looking into getting the Sephora brand Bright Future Gel serum concealer, which they say is comparable to Nars creamy concealer. If you have a larger budget go for the Nars.

Eyeshadows:

• If you follow the beauty community closely I am sure by now you have heard how wonderful the Make Forever eyeshadows are, well sorry to tell you, but I will most definitely have to agree! I will be looking into snagging some more of these wonderful shadows. Not only are they super high-pigment, but also they blend beautifully and smoothly. These shadows help you feel like a pro! Be sure to get them in the pre made palettes or the make your own palettes as they are much cheaper if you buy in bulk.

Eyeliner:

• My tried and true liquid eyeliner will always be the Stila stay all day liquid eyeliner. Just trust me, you need this in your life!

Mascara:

• No one does mascara like Benefit! If you are looking to invest in moderately priced high-end mascara go for any of the Benefit. My favorite at the moment is the roller lash mascara! If you want higher end, go for Lancôme or Dior! They are fantastic when it comes to making a formula that will not smudge, budge, or flake!

Setting Powder:

• If you have read any of my previous posts you know I have a huge love affair with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders. I will be picking up the trio palette during the sale. It’s by far the best bang for your buck and well worth it in my opinion. If you don’t want to shell out that kinda money on just one product, I highly recommend the Laura Mercier translucent powder, which comes in two sizes if you care to just sample it for now.

Bronzer:

• Nars: Depending on your skin tone there are a lot of good options that Nars makes. It is among my favorite bronzers, but I would like to look into the Hourglass ones. I have heard amazing things. Also you cannot go wrong with Too Faced chocolate bronzer or Benefit hula if you are on the market for a good bronzer.

Blushes:

• Last but never least blushes. Nars has the blushes I dream about at night, rich, creamy, blendable formula. If you are in the market for higher end then go for Hourglass or Dior!
