Music Festival Series: Fashion Look Two

Hello again lovelies! It’s time for another music festival inspired look, featuring one of the hottest trends seen this year on almost every fashion site promoting looks for Coachella. Two accessory essentials I find a must-have for Coachella is a great hat and some gladiator style sandals. In my first fashion post of this series I chose a casual yet very comfortable look, in a light cotton fabric for the bottoms and a light airy waterfall, off-the-shoulder style for the top. My first look was very 70s, hippie style inspired, so for my next outfit in the series I wanted to go more bohemian. I like to keep my hair away from my face when I know I’ll be in a hot, humid environment for long periods of time, so I decided to braid my hair once again for my second look. Dutch braiding is all the rage at moment, thanks to Kylie Jenner and her sister Khloe Kardasian. I have to admit this braid is not easy to do at first, but with a few tries and some practice you will easily become a pro. At some point I plan to post a how-to video, but for now if you need to learn how to do this braid, a wonderful YouTuber by the name of Nicole Guerreiro has a great one, click here to see her instructional video, if you are interested. Likewise you can read up on the rest of my music festival series here. I hope you all enjoy this look and please tag me in your looks at #inspiredbyli on all your social media sites, so I can see what you guys came up with for your music festival looks.

Now on to the outfit: Like I stated earlier for this look I decided to go with a more bohemian inspired look. Comfort is the name of the game when it comes to knowing you will be outdoors for a while and pretty sweaty by the end of the day. I like to choose airy cotton fabrics and this flow-y dress is exactly what I was going for in terms of comfort. It synchs at the top to give you a sweetheart neckline and tightens around the bust to keep the ladies nice and secure throughout the day. I love the length of this dress, as it is not too short and not too long like a maxi dress. Maxi dresses might be a great option for a music festival event, but I rather not worry about wondering if someone might step on my dress. So something that is at knee length, in my opinion, is the perfect length.

I chose to go for a dress with this look because I think dresses are comfortable, classic, and cool enough to make you feel good throughout the day. This is by far one of my girly-er looks so if you are into that, choose a dress for your music fest party! The dress I chose is actually one my friend got for me as a souvenir from his last trip to Hawaii so I will not be able to link this exact one, but don’t fret I will link many other options that will suit the occasion just fine.

On to accessories, which I believe really steel this post. Something very important to highlight during music festivals is what you chose to accent your looks with. Jewelry, headgear, and shoes! Shoes are definitely very important for me as I want to wear something that wont tear my feet apart, especially after all the walking I’ll be doing. For this look I went with a nice, simple yet very comfortable flat sandal, in a gladiator style look.

Lastly, but certainly not least I chose to go with a statement piece hat! You can chose different hats for this look, but I just think this hat adds a certain elegance to the look, boho chic as I like to call it. I will link different hat options that are very trendy at the moment too so be sure to click on those as well. I kept the Jewelry minimal, as I wanted the attention to go towards my bear shoulders and clean silhouette of the dress. My necklace is a gift from my lovely boyfriend so I am not sure where he got it, but once again I will link similar options below. I hope you all enjoy this look and let me know what accessories you plan to pair with your music festival looks.
