Music festival Series: Makeup Look Two

Hello again everyone! Glad you made it back for the final posts of this week’s Festival series. Coachella is a day away now and I hope everyone is getting very excited to attend. Who are you most excited to see at Coachella and what are your favorite bands? Let me know! For the first part of this series I posted a makeup look using blue and green metallic shadows. I wanted to focus on using a lot of color and dimension to the eyes with a halo effect technique. If you missed that look click here to see how I used color in a fun and vivid way. For my second look I wanted to go with more neutral colors on the eye, but still add a fun and unique twist. I used color eyeliner to bring a pop of fun to the look. As stated previously, music festivals for me are about having fun and letting loose, so why should your outfits and makeup be any different? This look is very simple to recreate and won’t take you long, the only precision to it is the winged color liner, but with a steady hand and patients you can get it to look perfect. Also, remember that if you mess up just put a bit of eye makeup removed on a queue tip and you are good to go.

Lets take a closer look at this makeup. I used all LORAC shadows on my lids. Stick to neutrals, so use a light peach-brown color in the crease, something similar to makeup geek’s “peach smoothie”. Then darken it up with a darker brown like makeup geek’s “coco bear” shadow. I will list the exact products I used below with links if you are interested in getting your hands on these great finds. For the star of the show, the eyeliner, I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Waterproof Crème color liner in yellow. Then I defined the yellow with a black eyeliner underneath to make the yellow stand out even more. Don’t be afraid to try this. Start with the yellow color first and draw a thick winged eyeliner on your lash line. Then define it with a black think liner on the lash line right over and below the yellow line you did earlier. Then I just finished the look off with mascara and a mid-tone hot coral lip color. You can substitute the lip color for a peachier nude or beige if you want to tone down the colors. Also instead of using the yellow liner I used, you can also get creative and fun and use glitter liners. I have noticed glitter liner has been a huge trend this year for music festival inspirations.

I hope you guys enjoy this look and let me know below what you thought. Also don’t forget to tag me #inspiredbyli with your makeup and fashion looks so I can see what you guys came up with. Love you all and thank you for following me and reading my blog. It truly means everything to me!
