Fore more beauty and fashion!

Hello beautiful ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to Looks By Li. I wanted to take a moment to talk about the new line by Estee Lauder, The Estee Edit. I have to be honest for a very long time I never thought twice about looking into this makeup brand. If I am being completely forthright, I use to think the brand was more geared towards mature women, so it might not come to anyone as a surprise that my very first makeup love affair happened with M.A.C cosmetics, but that is a story for another post. Let’s get back to Estee Lauder. I did a post on this company not too long ago as a Feature Friday of all the products from this makeup company I love. If you didn’t get a chance to read that I will link it here! Since discovering these Holy Grail products I have to admit my perspective of the brand itself has changed dramatically. The first time I started to notice this company was when they first collaborated with Kendall Jenner as their brand spokes model and debuted a lipstick line with a color she created and named herself. I am completely obsessed with that red-orange shade lipstick “Restless” now and it has opened me up to trying out more of their products. So of course it should come as no surprise that when I heard of this new, the Estee Edit line was coming out I was excited to try what it had in store. I managed to snag a few of the products now on sale at Sephora, and I will be giving you my thoughts. I will also show you how I recreated this look using some of the products.

This makeup line is a fun and clever new release intended to appeal to the new generation millennials and is spearheaded by Kendall Jenner as the face of the line. The Edit is organized into three categories: Barest, Edgiest, and Guest Edit Glow. The line includes a lovely palette marked at $48 that bears a lovely sized mirror and white elegant packaging. These are some of the products and my thoughts.

The Edgiest Up and Out Double Mascara ($24) is definitely a lovely mascara and worth the try. It has a bristle brush on one end that deposits a copious amount of liquid onto the lashes and a molded plastic brush on the other to help lift the lashes. The mascara gives fullness and length, and holds your curl for a good 4-5 hours. Definitely recommend this product.

Flash Photo Gloss ($20): Though I did not get a sample or try of this product it is marketed as a pearl-white lip-gloss that looks slightly blue in the tube. Supposedly the blue ting is to help make your teeth look whiter. I am not a big fan of glosses, but if you love a white smile give this one a go.

Flash Photo Powder ($32): I decided to give this powder a go and try it out. I have to say it was a pleasant delight to try. It was very lightweight, no cake face here guys! It did a great job of controlling my oily combo skin and made my skin look even and pore-less, with a slight awakened brightness.

Lastly, I did try the new Metallishadow Crème + Powder ($25) in the shade AquaNova to recreate the signature look in Jenner’s picture. The product comes in a net tub that has two compartments each part can be worn alone or layered together. I thought the pigmentation on these was incredible and I highly recommend them for edgier looks and if you aren’t afraid to shy away from intense color pigments on the eyes.

The line also has a bunch of lipsticks and two every cool products that help darken or lighten any lipstick in your collection. I did get a chance to try any of these out, but hopefully I will be bale to at some point at which time I will review them and let you guys know what I think. For now I think the line is very special and includes a lot of great, try-worthy products.

I hope you all enjoyed this look! If you like seeing more on beauty and makeup click here and follow my feed on Bloglovin! See you next time my darlings!
